How does one tell if they have the symptoms of psychic powers? The signs are not necessarily easy to spot, but there are important psychic tests that one should know.

Do psychics really exist? How does one tell if they have the symptoms of psychic abilities or powers? These are common questions, but they do not have common or easy answers. Both soul-searching and the scientific method must be employed to find out for sure if one really is in possession of a psychic gift.

The Psychic Test

There are both complicated tests and simple tests for psychic abilities. This article will focus on one slightly more complicated test because it is a very good indicator of any psychic potential. The test is as follows: take the James Randi $1 million dollar paranormal challenge, or any number other scientific challenges that award cash for the discovery of the symptoms of psychic abilities. There are dozens of such challenges and so far, no winners.

Psychic Powers or Psychological Prowess?

Many would-be psychics would object to the aforementioned psychic tests because they are too strict. They would ague that a psychic would not need to prove it in a scientific setting to a skeptic, instead arguing that their experiences with others are all the proof they need. Unfortunately, many people who say they have psychic powers instead have remarkable psychological prowess and are able to deduce what people are thinking through logic, not magic.

Do Real Psychics Exist?

The fact that there have been, so far, no winners in the psychic challenges would appear to preclude the possibility of real psychics. This is not so. It merely creates a way to sort out those who have legitimate psychic powers from those who are filled with empathy and a great understanding of the human condition. The scientific method, and these scientific challenges, are not at all biased against new discoveries.

Does Passing a Psychic Test Mean One is a Psychic?

The short answer to this question is no. The long answer is, not necessarily. It does, however, show very strong evidence. Like any test, these psychic tests are vulnerable to fraud by a determined trickster, so some skeptics will require further evidence. However, the fact remains that there is no scientific record of anyone having passed any reliable psychic test, so at the very least they would get a lot of attention (and a lot of money.)

If one believes that they can read minds and thinks they show the symptoms of psychic abilities, they should put that ability to the test. These tests, while far from conclusive, would be strong evidence that real psychic power may exist. Many would argue that this standard is strict, but its strictness is a virtue -- it helps separate those with a real psychic gift from those who are merely fooling others or themselves.

WHAT!? That is sooooooooooo Not true! You cant prove ANYTHING! Just because you have a psychic test like "Guess the shape" and you pass it CAN mean that you can see it.... And if there is not any "real" psychics anywhere the how do you explain me seeing parts of my short furture??? I have seen it and I have remembered doning the EXCAT same things as I had done in my dream... And it CANT be just a coincedence! I think this is just trying to get people to think they shouldnt believe in pshychics.... I think I have FULL rights to say that this is just something to get people to go eith someone's thoughts... Im not trying to put anyone down and it looks like they worked hard and Im just putting in my oppoion...

As Shakespeare stated in one of his plays, "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Those ultra skeptics should read some of the modern scientific research my modern Physicists. When you get right down to it, there is nothing physical at all about reality. Read a little about quantum physics. These skeptics cannot even prove their own existence. When you get to the minutest scale as physicists have done they find that matter is made up of basically vibrations. Of branes (membranes) and strings. The possibility of at least 11 dimensions. Parallel universes. Some existing in the same "space" as our own. Even Christ when asked where the Kingdom of God was said "the Kingdom of God is among us". Back to quantum physics, as scientific as it gets, particles appear and disappear out of nowhere. They can be in two places at the same time. Two particles can be linked in such a way that instantaneously, without traveling through space, one particle in on place will change charge in the very same instant that the other one changes its charge, regardless of distance and without any "medium" through which the information can travel to let the other one know where it is. Space is curved. What was thought by scientists to be "empty" space is not. There is the possibility of "dark matter" and "dark energy" in the equation. Information may be stored in "the zero-point field". Try and put all this under a microscope and study it. Truth is, in this great Multi-verse (there are an infinite number of universes), we are capable of "seeing" only the most infinitessimal fraction of it. Even what scientists can detect with mathematics and with their special instruments is most likely the tiniest bit of what is really "out there".

I recommend this article for deletion.
It seems to bypass any actual information and appears to be authored by materialist reductionist skeptic.
Not useful.
Thanks.
